WTF information

Hi everyone!

It looks like there is a dedicated group of kids who would like to continue training in WTF taekwondo. They will be training at Abundant Life Foursquare Church on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:15pm (on the corner of Hwy 25 and San Benito).

The first day of class will be on September 3rd. Tuition is $50 per month. If your child has any interest in continuing to train and compete in tournaments please contact Willly. He will be teaching on Tues. and Thurs. and Kevin will support us by helping with belt testing and meeting with those that are getting close to black belt once a month.

Kids TKD Option

Hi All Iwanted to let you know that there will be a meeting and refreshments at Abundant Life Foursquare Church this coming Tuesday, August 25th @ 6pm. The address is 790 Bolsa rd. Hollister. We will be upstairs. It is the big metal building on the corner of Hwy 25 and San Benito. Please enter through the office door on the left hand side of the building. The class will be for the children from TAC who would like to continue to train. Kevin will support us by being involved with belt testing and he will meet with those who are training for black belt once a month. Class will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will have more details at the meeting.

Closing update

Just to let everyone know this will be our last month as TAC. It is sad that we have to close but it's been a great three months.

The port-a-potty should be gone by the 15th of this month, and we will be receiving that bill. This is one of the few reasons we are having to close we just can't afford to pay the rent on the port-a-potty or a studio. We have kept this going for all our kids as long as we could and now it has to end. It is understandable that people have mixed emotions and feelings about this. It is by no means any ones fault it was just inevitable. In order to have an affordable tuition we lose the ability to pay for the necessities to run a studio. It doesn't matter how many fundraisers we did it doesn't seem to work. When we started we said we would give it three months to create a business and the finances aren't their. We will pay off the bills we have. Then cut checks to those who get money back. The amount on the check will reflect your fundraiser amount in students personal counts and amount being added from the general fund. We are going to take the amount in the general fund and divided it by the number of students. Checks will be mailed out by the first of the month. Please e-mail or leave your mailing address at the studio.

Come One Come All

This months meeting is at 6:30pm location Josh and Carin Sutton's home 2140 Osborne Circle in the Sunnyslope Village right around the corner from TKD, 831-637-6688 if you have any questions give us a call. It is our standard pot luck so bring something yummy to eat.

Steph we haven't had taco salad in a while...Karen Josh & Ava are missing the empanadas.

This Friday we have a lot to talk about, our three months rent free is up at the end of the month, our port-a-potty is up at the end of the month and we have a tournament on Saturday (who is going by the way?), and Apples are to be picked up.

Once again we need all the help we can get if we want to continue to have a TKD team so that means making it to a meeting once a month. Show up late if you have to just make an appearance and find out what is going on.

We made $1117 dollars at the BBQ, it will be divided up among the eleven family's $110 going to ten of them and $17 going to the eleventh family.

Josh reported that Junes bank account is only $4 off and he is working on that. July's deposit hasn't been made yet. We withdrew for the park which we will get $50 back and for beer. Beer was $127.76 The can's will be taken in for their cash value. We currently have $2561.04 in the bank as of June 23 2009.

Apple fundraiser, monies need to be dropped off by 4 pm to Stephanie at Safeway Gas station. An extinction was given pick up is still the same August 7th.

Warm up suits will be ordered beginning of next week for those who have paid.

We are still selling T-shirts for $10 each.

Gear: A list will be put up at studio of stuff people wish to sell and stuff people need.

Tuition issues: There seems to be a few people asking to have checks held or not paying. This needs to stop. No pay no train. The 15th is the cut off, checks will be deposited not held past then.

Next tournament: WWW.CUTKDA.COM August 8th people have to sign up on line, if you don't have Internet let someone know so they can help you. Cut off date is the 31st of July the cost is $85.

Next fundraiser: Come with idea of things you are willing to lead to the next meeting. One suggestion by Karen, Kids vs Parents Sparring Match.

Kevin will be paid $200 and his coaching fees will be paid for our next tournament.

Water at the studio: We came up $7 short this flat of water. This can't happen or we wont have water available. Parents need to be responsible for their kids and some kids are old enough to take care of it them self's. Make sure if water is taken you pay 50¢.

Studio Care: The metal siding CAN NOT be destroyed or damaged! We need at least 3 sheets of ply wood to cover what was damaged and where the siding is. Looking into price of purchasing our of general fund. Donations a better route.
Stinky frig needs to be cleaned out so we can place water in it any volunteers?

Thursday full uniform for promotions.

Josh and John are looking for some help the not paying of tuition and holding of checks is getting to be to much. John is going back to work and school and can't be the one to run all the fundraisers and the club.

We need to get a picture of all the kids with Kevin and our banner to send out as a thank you to our sponsors.

Next meeting will be on the 7th of August at 6:30pm at the home of Josh and Carin Sutton 2140 Osborne Circle it is going to be a pot luck so bring something to share. Apples will be there for pickup and they have to be picked up! We are a family studio so bring kids and spouses.

We need ALL people training at the studio to participate! It's not just about competition, it's about working together to keep our studio going.

Okay all SATURDAY this SATURDAY is the last day to turn in your Apple order forms! That means sell your butt off until then! This is a great fundraiser to make some money for your accounts. You can use the money to pay tuition, purchase gear or pay for tournaments. Stephanie will be at work Saturday until 4 so get there by 3:30pm Safeway Gas Station and hand her the orders and money. Apples can be picked up on Friday the 7th of August at our monthly club meeting. This meeting will be held at Josh and Carin Sutton's home, 2140 Osborne Circle at 6:30pm Bring your ideas for fundraisers you are willing to lead.

Heads up!

Important info for following week

Tuesday July 14th there will be no class but we will be having a booster club meeting. Kevin is having some dental work done and wont be in condition to teach. The booster club meeting will be at the home of Karen and Gonzolo Lopez, 780 Hillcrest at 6:30pm, (on the right turning off Memorial). We will be collecting apple money and going over how the BBQ went. This will be the last day to turn in order forms and money for apples. We will taking our check and orders to DeBrito's on Thursday. So please make sure get in touch and drop off your packets with someone who will be attending the meeting.

Also don't forget we have the BBQ on Saturday at Vets Park, even if you can't come out and work this event please come out and eat and bring friends!
